Naturally, I am quite keen to phone you back and discuss Marianne's recovery (does she really become a modest woman?), but you neglected to leave any contact information. As you are already well-versed with the 20th-century invention of the telephone, I have no doubt that a well-turned Regency-era writer such as yourself will also be comfortable with the series of interconnected tubes called the Internets.

How rude of Jane Austen to call during House!!! I mean, that actually requires more than one exclamation point! Several, in fact! You would think one with such a keen knowledge of early 19th century society would be able to translate to not disturbing people while they're watching the cranky doctor. I have to confess, I'm a bit disappointed in Jane.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Aren't you glad they finally stopped that stupid trial timeline? Nice that the show's finally gotten back to normal.
to be honest, i'd prefer it if they returned to the trial timeline if it meant they'd drop the "cripples can only date/flirt/mac on other cripples" crap that happened last episode. was quite literally foaming at the mouth. i want stacy to come back and spruce the show up a bit.
ReplyDeleteHm, that was a little annoying, come to think of it, but I suppose it didn't bother me as much as this huge sense of "the cripple is bitter and quirky so we must always treat him as a child" theme that was such a big part of the trial plot. I did like the episode between the trial plot and the parking spot fight episode--I wished we could see more of him helping others emotionally as well as physically. That was an interesting new direction.
